Post axial polydactyly by Dr Noor Beskri ESFU Fellow
soft tissue projection from the lateral side of the hand (ulnar side) at normal alignment of the main digits(D/D: polydactyl involving a rudimentary or non bony digit)= Postaxial Polydactyly
I remember that I read one day about it’s better to differentiate between isolated finding or bilateral
So detailed anomaly scan is recommended, bcz it might be syndromatic
See the ❤️ carefully in case of any +ve findings and also renals
Put in mind (Meck. GS )or patau (Trisomy 13).
Family history is important.
Postnatal surgical excision often performed for cosmetic reasons if isolated..
